Free Town Danzig

 

Danzig was devided from the German Empire after Worldwar 1st and in 1920 (November 15th) defined to a "Free Town". In 1939 (September 1st) Danzig was reunited with the German Empire and after Worldwar 2nd 1945 the town was put under the control of the polish administration. The reunited Germany renounced any territory claims in 1990.
